One of my best culinary experiences in relation to quality prices, don't look for OL caps on TripAdvisor or Google maps, go and book at La Mère Jean see don't squeeze on, restaurant in its juice, delicious cuisine, I'll only be you there to recommend. What Geert R doesn't like about La mere Jean:
We had 2 times onglet de boeuf. Congratulations. We have experienced the worst piece of meat ever eaten. Impossible to cut, even with the sharpest knife possible. When the waitress asked us if everything was ok, we told her honestly that it was “uneatable”. She asked us if we wanted another piece, which we declined because our appetite was completely ruined. Very good, a top OL salad, and what a pillow, I loved
Good reception but service that seems to be eager to straighten your table. Inputs and flats, but they are cruelly lacking in flavour. my calf head and his gribiche sauce had no taste... disappointed by the plate but friendly welcome in a busy street of lyon.
