Had my doubts as it doesn't score highly and was more modern than the restaurants in the old town. Never fear best meal of a five day trip not a tourist trap just good honest food impeccably presented in a relaxed manner. Enjoyed it immensely. View all feedback.
What Travelbugsforlife doesn't like about La Criee Lyon Confluence:
The restaurant had English menu's so that was a huge help for us. Unfortunately the fish meal I ordered did not mention that it would come whole, with skin and eye. I know some people enjoy that but I do not. I also could not eat most as the bones of the fish were small and very hard for me to pick out. The goat cheese salad was very good, but I had to down grade my review based on the fish. The waitress was wonderfu... View all feedback.
The food was exceptional. The whole dourade was perfectly cooked. The staff were most helpful to a non-native French speaker. The accompanying chablis was delicious also. Very busy restaurant but I had a very private table. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you like fish and seafood.

Glad we booked a table online as the place was really full when we arrived. The wait staff are lovely and we overcame language difficulties (Italian waiter French menu) on the whole. There is a stunning view if you get a window seat (it was too cold to sit on the balcony). The food is excellent. The tuna carpaccio and the Seafood Platter especially. Prices are high but we found that Lyon in general is pricey if you want to eat well. But that's why we came to Lyon.
