A mid-afternoon thirst and need to rest brought us into Excellent! and we were not disappointed. We only happened to need beer and tea to recharge, but had a great visit nonetheless. When the owner heard our terrible French he came out to our table to chat (we were the only customers at that time of day) and we had a lovely conversation. He's so enthusiastic about his business and about tourism and life in general. It was a highlight of out stay in Lyon.

When we mentioned this we were told it was... read more Went here for lunch with a friend - we're not the easiest customers as I'm veggie and my friend has coeliacs disease. When we mentioned this we were told it wasn't at all a problem and we're both presented with really tasty and generous dishes - everything was home made and really fresh! My friend said the meat was fantastic. My salad was delicious. I would definitely return!!!!
