We stopped by for lunch in this small bistrot. I would describe their cooking as "traditional with a modern twist." Excellent service and outstanding food. Well selected wine list that paired well with their cuisine.
Small, very French place, super nice but do not expect the waiter to speak any English! We both had the giant ravioli (one pice) with meat and foie gras for starter, and it was really good, as was the bread also. Very small amounts of foie gras, though. We had the scallop risotto for main course, five large delicious scallops in an out of this world tasty risotto. BUT! We did not like the wines and also found them quite expensive. We tried a large pichet (46 cL, 22€) of Cotes du Rhone, and it was not good. Optimistic as we were, we tried a white wine for the scallops. Again same amount and price. However, this white wine was really not good, we both had associations to mosquito repellent. So no matter how good the food was, I cannot rate more than 3 TripAdvisor stars due to the bad experiences with the wines. I tried to tell the waiter (in a quite ok French actually) that we did not like the white wine, but he did not really care...
Good French food at a price a little high, but I admit that we feast on limit and we leave without hunger, far from it. I enjoyed the tips for wine by the glass.
I was lucky to get in as a walk in at this place. It's an intimate affair with a small team that is very attentive to its guests.I had the smoked haddock entree, followed by the veal (so tender) and then the brioche with caramelised bananas for desert. All courses were well presented and delicious.I will certainly book next time as I'm not sure I will be so lucky next time.
Went to this restaurant based on the TripAdvisor reviews and found it to be amazing!Menu is quite small (great for me, not too much choice), but the quality of the food is superb and the prices are very reasonable.I ordered the slow cooked veal and the blanc manger as dessert and would really recommend both dishes.Great little restaurant, would definitely return next time!

We had a wonderful diner with friends (Americans and Russians). Being four, we tried all starters and main courses on their very attractive menu (French cuisine): everything was just delicious and plates perfectly decorated. A very good selection of great (and affordable) wines. The service was excellent (the waiter speaks English). Last but not least: you can see the chef in action!
This place is a treat, the waiter was able to explain the menu in English and they had a lovely selection to choose from. The wine was quit expensive though with the cheapest bottle 29 euro.
We spent a very pleasant evening in this restaurant on a Monday night when many other resto's in Lyon were closed, and it was worth the effort. Food was excellent at prices that I did not think were too expensive although the wine was perhaps a little pricy for our tastes, but by the glass was sufficient. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
You simply can’t go wrong with this place…it’s small and doesn’t look fancy, but the chef is simply first class and deserves to do well. Don’t hesitate and try for yourself Bravo chef

What about that night at Danton? Excellent service, warm welcome, kitchen worthy of a starry with tasteful and neat dishes, all accompanied by good wine for a more than reasonable addition. I strongly advise, if you're looking for a restaurant at the height of the reputation of French gastronomy, it would be a shame to miss this excellent address. Get your eyes closed!!
