The waitress was quite friendl... read more The food was pretty good, although a bit on the salty side, perhaps because I asked the waitress for a local food recommendation. The waitress was quite friendly and was able to speak English with me. And for a 3 course meal, it only cost 15 euro. I also ordered a half litre local Rhone valley wine and it was only 5 euro. The waitress kept on bringing me bread to make sure I am fed.

You cannot expect a classy meal - but some of the food is very good.I tried the Quenelles of pike which turned out to be very good. Especially the sauce. My husband ordered the poire de Boeuf - the meat was prepared as he ordered but he found it rather chewy.Nice athmosphere though.

The dishes are not too bad, tartare very good, the andouillette is small and will not leave me with a delectable memory. The desserts are very good, I even wonder if the chocolate mousse wouldn't be homemade! Overall value for money, I recommend compared to the street. There are much better cork places in Lyon but ok. Let's talk about what's wrong, the service is not up to par with a restaurant. Certainly linked to my staff shortage. When you order a bottle of wine, you must at least remove the cork and let it breathe. A waiter who responds “you’re welcome” to a thank you sounds “young”. A “with pleasure” to so much more class. A waitress who says “the desserts have arrived, maybe I have Alzheimer’s” it’s meant to be funny but it’s not a café theater In summary, the meal is OK, the service is passable but the team is smiling. The only downside is that the room is small and the tables are crowded, so it's a miss if you're looking for a romantic dinner. But no surprise. This is the concept of these typical restaurants and there is no need to come here looking for peace.. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3
