A very pleasant meal where everything was perfect!!!!! From the welcome to the service, including very typical cuisine and a very varied choice of dishes. What makes this restaurant special is the buffet of starters and desserts. A piece of advice for getting to the end of the meal and enjoying everything sparingly!!!!!! View all feedback.
What Édouard Poulain doesn't like about Chez Chabert:
the personal refuses to speak English, so it is very difficult to order and understand what is served. the starters are served in large container, all the tables running around in the restaurant, so everyone can serve themselves, which is unhygienic. the appetizers all tasted as edgy. the first courses were quite good, but there was no positive experience View all feedback.
Very good little Lyonnais cork with a concept of sharing starters and desserts that I appreciate and which go well with the general atmosphere of the restaurant! In any case, we had a great time and the servers were very nice.
Interesting concept, the meal was good and plentiful, the value for money is good The only downside was the waiter who at 2:30 p.m. more or less kicked us out, telling us he had to leave, a somewhat cavalier and not very respectful attitude.
The two of us had a great time. Large tables that we complete. We only choose the dish, breaded pig's trotters for my husband and hot sausage for me. As a starter, various salad bowls where you can help yourself as much as you want, for desserts, the same. Festive atmosphere. Fine wine.
Had a great authentic Lyonnaise dinner here with the set menu. Everything but the entrée is served family style, with the dishes passed between tables. There was plenty to try including a lot of dishes you made not have had before. There were at least 10 different entrees available including a flank steak, chicken in cream sauce, and several fish dishes.
It Is supposed to be a traditional bouchon. It Is located in the vieux Lyon and then some colleagues from lyon told me It Is not a food area to have dinner. We paid about 30 euro each for entree, main dish and dessert. Entree and dessert are served in big bowls that go from One table to another, you can have all the food you want buy the problem is that you Will not want It! It was terribile: pig nose, veal foot for entree, plums and egg White for dessert. The main dish was ok But i Will never come back here!
