Cafe Sillon is an understated, but wonderful example of creative and innovative French food. Definitely make a reservation in advance (it's a small place), enjo... read more Cafe Sillon is an understated, but wonderful example of creative and innovative French food. Definitely make a reservation in advance (it's a small place), enjoy the uncertainty of a set menu (it is not a la carte, you get what they are making that night), order lots of glasses of wine (all completely reasonably priced) and feel free to ask for recommendations, and take a cab or Uber to the restaurant and back to your accommodations. We walked there from the Presquile, and it's a bit of a long walk, but more importantly gets pretty shady for a stretch after you cross the Rhone. But absolutely worth the trip!
