Finally stopped at Balam. Wish I had not waited so long. Had the Korean asada burrito, it was delicious. I love when Roy Choi did the fusion between Korean Mexican food. But now I don't have to drive so far, its practically in my back yard. It was so good, I'm going back today. View all feedback.
What Eunice Rohan doesn't like about Balam Mexican Kitchen:
This restaurant has a lovely outdoor space with a romantic atmosphere. However, the prices at Balam are quite high and the portion sizes are small. I tried the pastor pork taco for $4.50 and it was delicious, but I finished it in just three bites. Despite the high prices, I would still recommend Balam for its tasty food. I am giving it three stars due to the expensive prices. View all feedback.
One of the few good restaurants of lynwood. it's hard to come with the car, but has a welcoming device. good aesthetic design and eating. parking is available with limited spaces.
When I worked for Compton Unified School District, I used to take my staff here for Taco ? Tuesday.... We ALWAYS had a great time ? The chef would let me try the latest hot sauce ? The Best Tortilla Maker In The World Was In The Back ? She added a little wisdom to our lives with each visit and the staff was like FAMILY ?? I will definitely have to visit soon I really miss this fantastic restaurant ?
I live on the east coast where the Mexican food can be a bit lacking. Getting a nice plate of tacos or burritos is the first think I do when I visit California. I went to Balam right after arriving in LA, and it did not disappoint! The portions were large, the food was fresh, and the hot sauces (which seemed homemade) were the star of the show! Service was awesome too. I loved the little outdoor courtyard and the festive music.
The best cheese flan ever, all the flavors are delicious,Coconut, Mexican coffee, Mango, Rompope, Choco-Nut, Cheese, Cajeta, All are WOW!!!
If you are looking to have Mexican food, try this place! The tortillas are made fresh. The combination of the cabbage, meat of your choice, and chipotle sauce is great. The food isn't spicy . I don't live in Lynwood anymore but excited for this little spot to make its mark. Off the 105 fwy exit Long Beach! It is a fusion of flavors
