The portion sizes at this restaurant are incredibly generous, and both the black bean sauce noodles and seafood noodle soup brought back nostalgic memories for me. It felt like I was eleven again with my mother. The prices are excellent, and the dishes also came with two types of kimchi and an unexpected extra serving of white rice. What User doesn't like about Sahm Gook Jih Palace:
The jjajangmyeon at this restaurant is average at best. The noodles are mediocre and the sauce is lacking in flavor. Unfortunately, we had to discard their tansuyuk (sweet and sour pork) and fried pork noodles because they tasted like they were cooked in old oil. Despite the low prices and generous portions, it's not worth it if the food isn't tasty. View all feedback.
Great food and great part! highly recommended. only at this moment. the environment is not so good, but it is acceptable
The staff was so wonderfully nice; they paused their restock of bread loaves and rushed to help me ! The portions were big and the price was more than fair… like I was worried until I tasted it fair ? very obvious that this is a family business whose thrived for a long time .
I love the jjangmeon here because the sauce is so tasty. The sweet and sour pork was alright but I don’t particularly love deep fried pieces of pork (because I just don’t like that kind of food). I would come back just for the noodles. I usually call in an order 15-30 minutes in advance for takeout. It’s always ready on time. I think things are well-packaged for to-go (sauce is separate so things don’t get soggy).
Great authentic food for a great price. No complaints! I just want their restaurant to grow in popularity, so they can be more successful. Totally underrated!!!
Honey walnut shrimp was great and they are super friendly and ? will definitely be back!
