We stumbled upon this restaurant randomly while in Lynn to buy our car. It was a fantastic experience and I definitely plan on making the drive back from the south shore to dine here again! The Duck risotto was one of the most delicious dishes I have ever tasted. We were seated near the kitchen, which was perfect because my young daughter aspires to be a chef and she enjoyed watching all the action. The chef/owner even took notice of her interest and came over to chat with her at the end of our meal. What a wonderful place! I highly recommend it.
This restaurant is excellent! I originally came for the 'sin burger' but ended up trying the hanger steak, which was full of complex flavors and made for an outstanding meal. My wife had the salmon and absolutely loved it. The calamari appetizer was cooked perfectly and the flavors were simply delicious. The staff made us feel like our experience was their top priority, which is not always the case at other restaurants. I have been to many good restaurants where the wait staff ruined the experience, causing us to never return. The Blue Ox definitely lives up to their hype. Do yourself a favor and experience it for yourself.
The food is fantastic!! Shrimp scampi risotto, absolutely delicious!!! Devon our server was terrific, loved him!!! I'd highly recommend this place!!!! 5+

In nice weather you can even eat and drink in the outdoor area, If you intend to show up with a larger gathering, there is a large dining hall. For private parties, a private room can be used undisturbed.
