What Raychel Piserchia doesn't like about Angelo's:
If I could give a 0 star review I would. Customer service and hostess= terrible, they act like me the customer is an inconvenience to them. Food=awful, calamari chewy, shrimp “scampi”was not a scampi sauce, I’ve never been to Olive Garden but I’m sure the food will be better there. Over priced food for something that I can make at home with much better taste. Not to mention you look up and the air conditioning vents... View all feedback.
I've been here regularly since birth. This jewel refuses to change its original classic atmosphere and spectacular Italian cuisine. This is my favorite restaurant in the world. The pastas are all excellent, the steak is great and its shrimp and biscuit with hot sauce is from this world! Your hot tomato sauce is divine. I have everything on the menu with the exception of the lobster tail of the shells, but can testify that everything on the menu is amazing. The Artichoke oreganata is excellent, beautiful wine map and amazing deserts. The servers are old school and will bend back to make your experience the best. They meet all COVID precautions. Can't wait for the next opportunity I have to eat here again! Cheers!
This may be the second review I have left this place and if it is well deserved. Customer service is perfect. I tried to steal the spicy sauce and managawt sauce for 5 years. I can't understand how it's done. It's incredible. There's nothing like it from Italy to anywhere in NY or Jersey and don't say my grandma, but it's not even close. Maybe close, but man, if I find out how they do this sauce, I'm a hero FOREVEA in my family. The Rigatoni with Ricotta, the Managawt and the spicy shrimps with biscuit spicy will never go anywhere else. If you do, you hate the taste buds of a scarf.
We found Angelos and we were very satisfied with the facility, the food was amazing, but our server- made our day!! He was informed about the dishes and cocktails and our experience was amazing.
It was our first time here and we were not disappointed. We had Clams oreganata, filled artichokes, shrimp scampi and the best Tiramasu! Everything was delicious and the service was excellent.
This is a strange review to write the first like it I’ve done. We were staying in a Lyndhurst hotel and found this restaurant nearby with good reviews and decided to pop in on a Sunday night. The restaurant is BEAUTIFUL. I fell in love as soon as I walked in. However, I didn’t find the place to be overly welcoming. The front house staff asked us if we had a reservation (didn’t even occur to me late on a Sunday) and kind of rudely waved around and told us it would be a “45 minute wait, maybe even a lot longer.” Mind you, no one else was waiting. But we went to the bar. Cocktails were delicious, sat next to a rude guy giving me dirty looks, but whatever. About 20 minutes later, after a few expensive drinks, we were very warmly told there was a table for us. The food was divine. I had the eggplant parm and husband had spaghetti and meatballs, with Chianti for both. We had wonderful conversation with the table next to us (tables are kind of close to one another) and the server was great. It was a great meal. Later, without any prior discussion, my husband and I both shared that we got some pretty racist vibes in the place. My husband is white and I'm African American and I don't think that's something we've both picked up on so clearly in the past and its definitely not anything I've ever written in a review before. But it was pretty clear to both of us.
