The famous Mad Hatter Tea Room is themed around Alice in Wonderland. I had to visit since I came here as a child with my parents and grandparents. The sandwich I ordered was fresh and delicious, making it a great trip down memory lane for me. The place is compact and perfect for young children. The service was good, and the staff were friendly. It was clean, and there’s convenient parking nearby. View all feedback.
Visited for lunch: bubble and squeak with bacon, Stilton and two poached eggs, and 'Shipwreck stew '. Both absolutely top-notch, delicious. Polite and attentive service. Good price and good location on the roof terrace. Very well worth walking the extra few steps up the High Street, just beyond the traffic lights. Highly recommended.
A lovely little tea room which I have visited several times. I had the all day breakfast, which I can honestly say was the best I had, had for a long time. Lovely staff quirky decor. Definitely worth a visit.
Lovely themed dog friendly tearoom, very friendly staff and good food
Gluten free scone was delightful, great that it’s available on demand and of a great quality, as gluten free bread products are hard to perfect. Plenty of jam and cream on the side. I had a chocolate milkshake which wasn’t great, could do with a little more chocolate flavour.
Very tasty and pleasant meal! every dish we ordered was wonderful (especially the dirty pommes! . the lemon cheese cake and the honey cheese cake are by far the best I ever had! it is worth it anyway, a bit further up the road.
