the afternoon was absolutely delicious, the staff was attentive and gave us many pots of tea to go with the food. it was quiet when we were the only people in booked, but just slender we could have a really good chat. the room was furnished for christmas and was really nice. only a perfect time. What Dennis Jones doesn't like about Afternoon Tea At Forest Lodge:
No kids option, kids get a slightly smaller version of the adults tea but still get charged full price. Food it’s not what kids want to eat so a shame they do not cater for kids and to charge full price is very poor. For adults it’s very nice. View all feedback.
The staff at the Forest Lodge were very friendly and helpful. The food was lovely, we had afternoon tea. A great choice of of things to eat, and plenty of it. We never once felt rushed and nothing was too much. Would definitely recommend and will be back.
Was a nice atmosphere and very good staff. Food was nice but too much sweet stuff and could have gone with a little more savoury options. But we enjoyed it in the lovely new forest.
Quality of food was not great the scones had so much baking powder you could feel it on your tongue. The quality of the cakes were below average and the restaurant was like a canteen. Tea was a bircher tea bag and there was no service after the food was brought over we ever walked out to reception and no one was to be seen. Relatively cheap for an afternoon tea but poor value for money
Not enough sort or quantity sandwiches, sausage roll nice, chocolate cake dry.
