We are thrilled to have found Trini Bites on Long Island! From the moment I spoke with Renee, the owner, to picking up our Christmas dinner, the experience was delightful. The food was absolutely fantastic! We ordered beef and shrimp wontons, chicken roti, and chicken Pelau, and it brought back wonderful memories of my mother-in-law and grandmother's cooking. I can't wait to place another order and explore more of the menu! If you’re on Long Island and craving authentic Trini cuisine without the drive to Queens, do yourself a favor and order from Trini Bites!
Our menu included chicken wontons, a double, and a buss up shot (or rice) with chicken curry—absolutely delicious! There was plenty of food for everyone. The communication with Renee was smooth and straightforward; she even accommodated my vegetarian guests without any hassle. The logistics of the event were well-organized, with the food truck arriving early, setting up right in front of the house, and even playing some Machel (my favorite soca artist) as guests lined up to get their food. The music added a special touch that made having a food truck at the party even more memorable. Our guests felt at ease with the friendly staff from Trini Bites, and the ordering process was efficient, ensuring everyone's meals were prepared just how they liked them. One of the best parts was that, after the party, I didn't have to worry about storing any leftovers, dealing with cleanup, or risking catered food spoiling in the hot July sun. If you're looking for flavorful food paired with friendly service, Trini Bites is definitely the way to go!
The food is consistently fantastic, but the customer service at this place is remarkable!
I waited 2 hours for food. they were taking their time in the truck. didn't look like they were rushing at all. There were other people around me that waited for 1 hour and 40 minutes. Why are there sharp bones in the meat? like small ones. I don't get it. Also why are you charging 3 dollars for coconut water in small cup. This food truck messed up orders and took so long. Why was there a person just standing outside taking orders. she could've bene helping with making the food.
First off, this food truck came to my job in Manhattan because for the summer we have different food trucks every friday. My coworkers and I were excited to support this one or so we thought 2. They arrived late. They were supposed to be here from 11-3. Wasn't up and running until almost 12. Waited on line for like for 30 mins to place my order which is long but whatever. After I finally placed my order I was told there would be another 20 minute wait for the food. While waiting for my food they made an announcement that the roti had run out. no roti at a trini food truck!!!! They had only been there for an hour!! To make matters worse my food took an hour and a half before it was ready. my lunch break had long gone. And to put the cherry on top when i looked in the bag it wasn't what I ordered. Total disaster. I am so upset I don't want my food at all. my coworkers ate theirs and said it wasn't even worth all the hassle. We got robbed without a gun!!! Totally disgusted. Yall should be ashamed of yourselves Trini Bites zero stars but was forced to at least add 1.
