Absolutely shocked that this only has 4.3 stars as a wedding venue. As a groom, this was 10/5 and completely blew me away in every single facet of my wedding weekend. Granted, my wife is a wedding coordinator and Dave (owner) is the absolute man, which helped with the smoothness of the weekend. That being said, it was absolutley everything I could have ever wanted and was the best weekend of my life with all of my closest family and friends. Highly recommend.
I stayed here in the fall of 2012 because i assisted in photographing a wedding located at Ogontz! it was a long time ago but i still think of it as one of the most magical nights of my life. very rustic and cozy which i loved. definitely don’t come if you can’t handle imperfections or bugs and nature. we slept in an old horse barn (in a bed) and it was so amazing. i was 2 weeks postpartum with my first son. it was one of those perfect autumn weekends. very remote. i would love to bring my husband and two little children as they have never been and i would like to stay there soon and plan on contacting them to see if it’s possible!
We had our amazing wedding weekend at Ogontz. I can not say enough about this wonderful magical place. Our guests are still saying it was the best wedding. They took care of us as though we were family. I am one very happy bride. Service: 5
I got married this year at another venue so I will preface this review with the fact that I have not been to the property. I am sure it is beautiful. I am deleting old emails and felt compelled to share this email I received when I submitted an inquiry and asked if there was any opportunity to tour on a weekend: No. We have a wedding booked every weekend and we offer an exclusive package. No one other than wedding guests are allowed ons the property and I won 't have time for you. If you would like a tour, you 'll have to find time midweek. Let me know and I will set up a time. Cheers If this is the service that prospective brides get from a $30,000 venue, I can 't imagine it gets much better once they have your money. Feeling like I dodged a bullet here for sure. Cheers!
My son attended a week long camp session. I was not under the impression that this was a faith based camp. The camp allowed for another camper to actively recruit children for their non-doctrine church. My child was bullied into daily bible readings by an older camper. I complained to the councilor only to have him come home the next day with an altered children's Bible from one of Littleton's non doctrine crazy churches. We're catholic and did not appreciate this. Not quite sure how or why this was allowed. Other parents complained, and as far as I know this was never addressed. I Will never send my child here again. There is a time and a place for faith based teaching. This was not it. Highly disrespectful. Yes, my name is changed for anonymity.
