Was lucky to be able to reserve for dinner on the day I reached Lucerne. You can tell its well loved by the locals as the place gets crowded very fast by the time its 6.30pm. Really love the quaint and elegant place, the architecture and ambiance makes up half of the lovely dining experience. Was served by a very friendly and nice staff by the name of Silvana who is from Brazil! She made us feel at home very immediately. The food is outstanding, loved the mushrooms in pastry shell, the cream sauce is just so top notch. Pork sausage in onion sauce is salty but I can taste the fragrance of the cameralised onions which goes really well with the rosti. The pork schnitzel is huge! And like what most people say, the fries are excellent. A pity we don't take beef as the rosti with veal and the Pot Au Feu comes highly recommended. As recommended by Silvana, the Swiss white Petite Arvine is excellent so please have a bottle to go with your dishes when you visit. Thank you for the wonderful dining experience!
Ordered the veal steak with rosti and vegetables and it was the best thing in the world. Impeccable service, good energy level, nice selection of wine and beer. So glad I came!
Authentic atmosphere with many locals around. The soup was delicious, the crust of the Cordon Bleu was lightly burnt not that it would make it inedible, but I could feel the taste. Solid four stars!
The food is excellent and very authentic! Owner is amazing and the building is filled with history. Many of the locals eat here too. A must visit if you're in Lucerne!
