Great service! We mentioned that we had very little time during our lunch break and the service was perfect and understanding! We even had time to taste their wonderful pancakes! What User doesn't like about Downtown Café:
We had two cakes. To be honest we had better cakes in our lives. They were pretty dry and overall unimpressive. However the service was really good. The waitresses were lovely and helpful. View all feedback.
Had a terrible brunch. Club Sandwich with wedges and side salad. Salad was not washed, wedges were old, chicken was dry and very chewy and sandwich overall blend. Peppermint tea was too bitter. Left without eating half of the food.
Very slow service, breakfast was nothing special, pancakes came out of the freezer. Asked multiple times where the food and drinks were as they all came at different times
I’ve seen a number of negative reviews about Downtown Cafe but I have to say my visit was a very pleasant experience. My only comment is they put enough toppings on my bagel that it was messy to eat, but considering the extra toppings it was worth it. We visited on a Sunday and it was very busy but I have no complaints about the visit.
Just good and efficient service is missing....otherwise 5/5 star atmosphere
I had never seen a restaurant serving store-bought, sous-vide poached eggs. It was cold and tasted like plastic. That's a very lazy approach when you sale breakfasts and brunches. However, service was good and the waitress had it replaced by scrambled eggs.
