I was extremely disappointed with the food at this restaurant. The avocado hummus had an odd cherry flavor and seemed to be missing tahini. The Baba-Ganoush was decent but lacked seasoning and other traditional Middle Eastern flavors. The prices were high and vegan options were not clearly marked. Very mixed impression. Got warm food, yes. Somewhat lost in the menu and ...
Vegans, stay away! I have to warn you about this place because of the following no-gos based on my personal experience three weeks ago. First, their falafels tasted like fish; They seem to use the same frying fat for everything! Some of their drinks contain honey, which is not mentioned on the menu. I found out when asking about the amount of sugar in their home-made ice tea. Furthermore, it is totally overpriced; You find other places with Middle Eastern food with a better quality and fairer prices in Luxembourg City. Finally, there is a huge construction site next to their terrace; Enjoy its noises on a sunny afternoon. Luckily, I did not pay for this bullshit because I was invited; I will never go back. Tasty vegan options with allergens clearly labeled. Perfect for a nice night out with good drinks.
The service here is sluggish, they use coriander excessively, the fattoush doesn't have pomegranate. The hummus is overly salty, the muhammara is too sweet, and the bread is bland.
When I informed the waiter that I was vegan, they didn't seem to understand and insisted that all dishes were vegan except for those with feta cheese. The staff also seemed to have limited knowledge of the menu. Overall, the experience did not justify the cost. I would recommend heeding warnings from HappyCow and avoiding this establishment.
