Great local village pub, hosts a great pub quiz every other Monday and serves beautiful food every day of the week! All staff are always super friendly and stop for a chat or to feed the dog a biscuit! We’ve eaten here as a couple countless times and never once had a complaint on food, every dish served has been great quality, generous portions and lovely presentation. Personal favourites of mine are the sirloin steak and the pasta bolognaise. My partner returns for the pork belly mash time and time again! This is also our favourite place to come to for a Sunday dinner, defo book if possible, they do have some availability for walk-ins but typically they are booked up all day and that speaks for itself.

This eatery was recommended to us. After a 1/2 hour drive we arrived. On entering there were quite a few people already eating. We asked for a table and told to find one that wasn’t already set up which we did. A young man came over to take our order of drinks and gave us a menu. The menu was the usual pub grub, priced similar to other eateries. The food on arrival was ok, but nothing outstanding and certainly not worth the journey. The older lady who served us didn’t smile until we went to pay. We weren’t given a bill, just told the cost. Don’t think we will be returning, better places nearer to home.

We have dined at this restaurant multiple times this winter and have always been satisfied. The food is consistently delicious, freshly prepared, and the staff is friendly with excellent service.
