I hired upstairs for my sisters baby shower and I must say it was amazing! Such a lovely area to hire out and the staff are amazing! Lucy especially was incredible for our visit and the food was lovely!

Absolutely appalling. Attended at 2:50, ordered food and drinks and time on ticket was 3:03, queued up for the carvery about 10 minutes into waiting a blonde lady appeared and shouted to the queue that the beef would be another 20 minutes as it was not ready. Waited in the queue just to be served which took another 20 minutes as the chef kept disappearing! Got to the front of the queue and now there was no beef and no turkey just gammon. Waited and waited and finally turkey came out closely followed by the beef. Waiting 30 minutes to be served at a carvery is unacceptable, we had a 2 year old with us that was getting restless and even without that this is an unacceptable time to wait for food that is already prepared.

Dined as a party of 10 for a birthday dinner, a mixture of carvery, burgers and fish and chips, food was fantastic, hot and plentiful, will definitely be back.

The Old Moat House is a beautiful place, myslef and my now wife held our wedding reception here a few weeks ago and couldn't be happier with how the day went. The staff were incredible and nothing was too much trouble and I can only imagine how hard it must have been getting 57 carvery meals out to very hungry people so very well done for doing that successfully. Cora you have been incredible from start to finish we can't thank you enough for all your help, the food is incredible and I truly hope more people discover this venue whether is for events or just to come and eat and have a drink. Thank you to the Moat House for being the icing on the cake to our brilliant day.
