What tonitravels2 doesn't like about Ruby's Cuisine:
I recently returned from Ruby's on a Sunday afternoon and the food was delicious. However, the main issue is with the poor management. We had to wait over an hour for our food and it arrived in separate courses. My chips came first, followed by a 20-minute wait for my Brown chicken stew. It wasn't just my table that was dissatisfied - out of the six tables dining, four were also complaining. Their orders were mixed u... View all feedback.
I really enjoyed the food at this restaurant. It was cozy and had draft beer, which was a plus for me. They also have a bar where you can have a few drinks and a light snack. It was a bit cold when we first arrived, but it warmed up later on. I will definitely be visiting again.
On a positive note, both times the food was hot, the portions were generous, and it tasted absolutely delicious. It's the best Caribbean food I've had in the 14 years that I've lived in Luton. If they can improve the speed of delivery and service, it would definitely be a five-star experience every time.
The restaurant is now at their new premises on Chapel Street. Party of 30 to celebrate my birthday. The staff decorated the area to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for the occasion it was obvious that Ruby's Team are very dedicated to offering a service to be proud of. We had a selection of foods; two types of chicken dishes, and other meat dishes, choice of rice dishes and the needs of vegetarians were also met. All of that came with plantain and coleslaw!!The food was excellent and we all had a wonderful time. This was the first visit for some members of my party and we will certainly be making another visit in the near future.
I tried the jerk chicken at this new venue on Chapel Street and it was delicious. I will definitely be returning to sample more of their food choices. However, I think the interior could use a makeover as the furniture is a bit sticky and gives off a pub-like vibe. I believe some softer furnishings, better lighting, and rugs would help create a more comfortable and inviting atmosphere. Despite this, the food was delicious, the staff were lovely, and the prices were great. I hope that over time they will settle into their new location.
Party of 4 to celebrate a friends birthday. We had different starters. The prawns were to die for. The ribs were very sparse meat wise. For mains, two of us had the goat curry, one had the jerk chicken and one had the saltfish, we had a variety of rice sides. All of these were very plentiful and really delicious. All the staff were extremely friendly and they had added extra touches for the birthday (banner on wall and sparkler on a cake) Our only complaint would be the long wait we had for our food. Overall delicious plentiful and really good value for money. Will be back
