Went here evening of Sunday 3rd July. We were the only people in there all evening. Obviously this made for very little atmosphere, apart from tranquility. Why one staff member spent half the evening with his I phone on speaker , I’m not sure. That said , the food was good , tasty and authentic. What MLM3003 doesn't like about Cafe Shimla:
I usually look forward to an Indian on the weekend and this was no different. I ordered my food at 5:30pm with an expectation of an hour delivery. Come 6:50pm my food still hadn’t arrived so called to ask how long to be told it’s just out with the driver it will be with you in a few minutes. It’s now 7:20pm and no food, again a polite call to determine eta of my food, once again told it would be a couple of minutes.... View all feedback.
From the excellent pickle tray to the well cooked traditional British Indian restaurant fare, Shimla meets expectations.
Good old fashion curry house. Lovely food good portions and good selection. Service was attentive , this might be due to the lack of occupied tables. Fish Bhajee was delightful

We’ve not been here for years but will be back soon. Fantastic food, really tasty, very impressed. Staff were friendly.
Very nice and friendly Lot off spaces to seat Lovely service and delicious food We go offten and can recommend people to try The best Indian restaurant so far
