Hallo we were as a group to eat luther there. there was a corresponding menu like e.g. feather cattle with fertilizer, duennbier etc., and of course a martin luther that led us excellently through the evening. unfortunately this time without his wife katharina von bora. the food was good and suitable for the evening. to the service I have to connect my prescribers here - maximum unfriendly and not often at the table. the restaurant could have earned a lot more this evening. therefore a point-down for an actually successful event but I know that differently and goes more
I was there with a group of travelers. the cake was on the table, who knows how long. but the apfelstrudel was delicious. on the treses stood several cans with coffee. a waitress served us. they immediately realized that she had no pleasure. one of my guests came a little later and asked them for coffee. the answer from the waitress: "they can stand there!" when someone else asked about coffee, it was clear that they can be for us. So we'll go after. there came the waitress, woman fischer, pure and ripened us the coffeepots out of hand. In a ton, who wants and I can not describe here she liked that for everyone there was only one cup and that is logical that the people who are there for us. it would have been a sweat. Um... no one understood. Then several guests told me that the tassen were only half full. I'll save the rest. there are soouo many caffes in wittenberg, all just one cat jump away. goes a few meters further. there you and your money are better off.
I picked the Alte Canzley restaurant for a special dinner to celebrate my parents' 50th wedding anniversary. I also chose it because of the good reviews, use of organic products, and great location across from the Schlosskirche and 'theses doors.' We were a party of six and, sadly, all of us were disappointed. While the dining room was cozy and historic, the food was disappointingly bland and flavorless. No dish was particularly bad, but there was also not a single entree that was good. The worst pick was probably my mother's salad. The dressing seemed to consist of milk and some vinegar without any herbs. We actually let the waitress know that none of us were pleased with our dinner choices, but there was no reaction from the kitchen. Service was polite, but not overly friendly. In sum, we had an unsatisfactory evening.
The menu selection is rich and the food is essential. the ambiente in the old vault is really impressive.
