On your way from Marseille to Grenoble (or the other way around), this is a perfect spot to stop for lunch. It’s close to the Route National, with only a minor detour through the mountains to get to Lurs (4 kms). Chez Justine is situated next to the centuries-old church (10th century), on a small square. A great place to enjoy a relaxed lunch with a lovely view and friendly service. It takes some time for the food to arrive as it is freshly prepared so sit back and enjoy a glass of wine or two.
Fabulous views of snow capped mountains in far distance ..busy on a weekend...although seating is outside so on a rainy Sunday it seemed closed. Visited a couple of times during our stay in the area..great selection of ice creams! Lurs is a great village to visit and enjoy the views...popular with walkers and cyclists ...we even saw two people arrive on their horses !
When you visit the beautiful village of lurs. there is only one terrace and only open when there is the sun, but it is worth it. At noon, they serve a few small dishes, good syrups and homemade ice creams. Kids love service. Beautiful view of the durance.
Superb viewpoint and a good welcome simple and very good menu you must absolutely taste the artisanal ice creams with an exceptional perfume choice.
