The Victorian Inn - Luray

The Inn keepers made us feel welcome from the moment we stepped on the property. This beautiful victorian style home is not only classy but has a warmth and welcoming energy. Our rooms were immaculately clean. The room accommodations were spacious and comfortable. The king size bed was clean and comfortable to sleep on. The spa tub was relaxing and therapeutic. Larry, the hypoallergenic golden doodle was adorable and well behaved. The property offers several covered porches and sitting rooms. The location is close to several area attractions including the Duke of Hazard museum, where Cooter is sometimes live and in person as he was when we visited. The local brewer in walking distance had friendly staff and a fun atmosphere for enjoying a refreshing beverage. You are a short drive to lakes, rivers and the skyway. Every person we encountered in town was friendly and welcoming especially the Inn Keepers Matt and Janina. and finally each morning we were met with a delicious hot breakfast with fresh fruit and juice and assortment of baked goods. 15 years after our last visit it was a pleasure to see what the new owners have done with The Inn of the Shenandoah. The place is absolutely stunning. Janina is genuinely friendly and the best host.

Made last minute arrangements to stay here. The owners, Matthew and Janina were pleasant, accommodating, great to chat with. The place is absolutely stunning, old world charm but comfortable and updated. Clean, comfortable, good food. We were there to celebrate my wife's birthday. We were greeted with cupcakes, candles and a chorus of happy birthday. When you really look closely, you see all the little things they do to make this place wonderful and make you feel welcome. It was the perfect home base for our getaway. A little more than the local hotel, but worth every penny. We will be back. Thank you for our perfect weekend getaway.

The owners were so delightful and polite. Really informative about things to do locally and enjoyed the conversation! Breakfast was a delicious quiche and French toast. Everything was so clean and had everything we needed! Our room had its own little balcony with a great view. Great restaurants within walking distance. Can’t wait to return again!!! Planned a trip to Shenandoah National Park and had a lovely stay in the Turret suite at the inn. It was clean and beautiful, and we felt like we found a hidden gem when we arrived. Close to the park and can’t beat having a private jacuzzi in the room after a long day of hiking. Woke up each morning to a delicious, warm breakfast. There’s a private entrance to the room as well. Stayed 2 nights and thought we could have stayed longer. Didn’t have time to explore the town but did go to Luray caverns which was nearby and a must see. Matthew and Janina were fantastic hosts and so kind. Would definitely return and recommend to others.
