Really enjoyed the food. I had the salmon fillet and my partner had the Woolley jumper burger. Salmon was cooked beautifully. Moist and with nice crispy skin. There was a good amount of salad on the side which tasted really nice. The burger pattie was huge and the bread was very crusty which to me are both positives but it did make it hard to bite into and the burger fell apart a bit. Burger was just delicious. Caram... Located at Bruny Island they produce amazing wines (as suggested by my friends who tried it <br/ <br/ I really liked the way staff attended to their needs and mine too (non-alcoholic fruit drink <br/ <br/ A must visit for wine lovers :
The service was friendly but the food took a while to arrive. We shared the seafood chowder, lamb cutlets, mushroom with haloumi and wallaby san choi bao. The food was tasty and we had a lovely time there. Nice casual setting.
This is a great place to stop for some lunch when on Bruny Island. It can get quite busy though so booking ahead is ideal. Sometimes if you are lucky and the timing is right you can just walk in and they will have a table for you which is what we did. <br/ <br/ I loved the atmosphere because it’s at a vineyard. The service was great but the food I felt took a little while and maybe it’s because they were quite busy. <br/ <br/ On the plus side we ordered 3 tapas to share. Lamb cutlets, salmon in char siu and smoked chicken. The highlight has to be the salmon in char siu which I didn’t think too much of it but the salmon was cooked to perfection. The smoked chicken was also a good one as I’ve never had chicken that was smoked before but always a fan of anything smoked. The lamb cutlets which usually should be my fav was just a tad over in terms of cooking so the meat was a bit tough. <br/ <br/ Overall I did enjoy the tapas and the place has a huge extensive menu. Being a wine bar there’s also wine tasting available and heaps of people were there to do tastings. A good spot for lunch when on Bruny Island
We tried some beautiful wine and had some great food. My lamb was very well cook and the salmon was extremely fresh. I would recommend this place, especially if you want to purchase a few bottles of lovely wine!
Via Pennicott Wilderness Journeys. Tasted several of their wines, i must say i'm not a big wine drinker but they were very nice and the ciders were fantastic. Cider made by winemakers is superb and in a league of its own. Had the Salmon fillet, top quality seafood and cooked perfectly with a nice side salad. Service was friendly and provided plenty of information about the winery and their beverages.
