"The downside: Google Maps directs you to the back entrance, which has been a mistake for me five times this month. However, the food is excellent. This place is one of those rare Mexican restaurants that prepares fresh guacamole right at your table. Guacamole is truly a delicious dish that just can't be surpassed. I look forward to returning to my favorite routes!".
What User doesn't like about San Jose Mexican:
I had dinner at this restaurant with my family during our stop over in Lumberton while on our way to Myrtle beach. We ordered Vegetable Fajitas and Margaritas. The food is good. Their glossy book on Tequilas and various margaritas notwithstanding, the margaritas were made with some mixtures and they tasted excessively sweet (with corn syrup I guess) View all feedback.
Great kitchen and fantastic staff! No issues with the food or prices. Definitely a place worth visiting.

I hadn't been very impressed with San Jose in the past, but I decided to give it another chance today, and I'm really glad I did. The food was surprisingly excellent, and it wasn't very crowded for a Saturday at noon. The portions of cheese were enormous, and the table-side guacamole was fresh and delicious! I was also pleased to see that their lunch specials are available from Monday to Saturday.
Very good food. Beautiful atmosphere, adjacent but separate cantina. The salsa is thick fresh and tasteful, chips were warm and crispy and not oversaled. The main course I had the Spinach sauce Chicken, which was delicious and the sauce, while Savory did not taste or felt heavy.
