AJ’s Seafood Oyster Bar is a fantastic place to enjoy fresh seafood in a fun and energetic setting. Whether you’re there for a casual meal with family or a night out with friends, AJ’s offers a memorable dining experience with great food, drinks, and entertainment. It’s a must-visit when you’re in Destin, Florida.

This place was always a favorite of mine. The website advertises a crawfish boil every Sunday. I brought my family from Alaska, they had never had crawfish before. Turns out, they had no crawfish this Sunday. As expensive as the website looks, it is a crying shame that I loaded my family in the car, battled 98 traffic because no one here can be bothered to keep their website current. 0 stars, do not recommend.

This used to be a really great place for drinks, music, and good food. Recently went there for dinner. Ordered the crab with corn potatoes, the crab was ok, the corn was old and over cooked, potatoes also over cooked. Ordered bowl of gumbo and was very disappointed that I got bowl of gumbo flavored soup, no shrimp, fish, or sausage. I had to accept that this is probably what AJ's serves to the crowds of tourist who visit. I would have to chose someplace else and hope to get better. The service however was excellent.

Great visit — hostess got us right in at sunset on a Saturday night, beautiful views! Stephanie was our server and absolutely knocked it out of the park — best service I’ve had in a LONG time. She knew what we wanted and dropped it off before we even had a chance to ask! Potato salad fried mozzarella were both on point thanks Stephanie — you’re the best!

We bought a place in Destin 3 years now. We have tried AJ’s a handful of times, each always being disappointed. We gave them another try last night as some kept saying it was good…same disappointment! The food was not good is an understatement. Our gumbo was Luke warm at its best. We sent it back, came out to us still Luke warm. We had several other menu items and each tasted so tangy and just off. I would not even be writing a review but I came home and felt awful to my stomach. The night didn’t end well, I was sick vomiting and had it from the other end as well. Never again.
