Schlotzsky's - Lufkin

Schlotzsky 's has some remarkable sandwiches. I was always part of the original. They offer several sizes and the big is LARGE! You need to try some of their signature hot sauce on your sandwich it makes just what's a big sandwich heavenly (and I'm not one for hot things) it's just the icing on the cake for their sandwiches. Inside is always clean you need to worry about finding a clean table, they keep it clean. You can always eat outside on their covered terrace, the ceiling fans circulate the air and they also have a drive thru (do not forget to ask for some hot sauce). You stay very busy, but you never have to wait long for your meal. They also offer Cinnabon 's for dessert, it is the first thing your nose meets when you go inside. If you're past thru Lufkin you'll easily see Schlotzsky's from loop 287 and they have a lot of parking offers large parking for handicap. If you need a large area for parking, which is available behind the restaurant.

Everybody working on Friday night October 7th should be fired. Pulled in because Chick-fil-A's line was wrapped around the building twice. 25 minutes later I finally got half my order. Then it took an additional 15 minutes to make a freaking saladthat they forgot. They're all clueless the manager is horrible didn't even bother speaking with them. Again, fire everybody!

Man this place used to be so good but I just waited 30 mins for 2 sandwiches? order came out wrong. Waited 10 more mins ? and it was $32. $32 for 2 small sandwiches 2 small chips and a drink. Way too dang expensive. I don?t know if it got rang up wrong orwhat but I just cannot do $16 per sandwich any longer

We had to return a six-pack of Cinnabon rolls that we had just ordered and started eating while waiting for our food. They were stale and inedible; we ended up spitting them out and throwing them away, returning the uneaten ones as well. The salads—garden and avocado turkey Cobb—were lackluster. The blue cheese dressing tasted more like mayonnaise mixed with vinegar, although the avocado was fresh. However, the turkey left much to be desired. As for our sandwiches, they arrived cold and flavorless; we had the Reuben pastrami and the smoky roast beef with cheese. I was very dissatisfied and disappointed. The pizza was acceptable but overcooked. While the prices were high, I don’t mind paying if the food is worth it, which in this case, it definitely wasn’t. I suspect this restaurant will continue to struggle unless there are major improvements. The assistant manager was friendly and did apologize, mentioning that they were understaffed. On a positive note, the establishment was clean and well-decorated, with plenty of parking available. The dining area was nice, and it smelled great as soon as you walked in. The drinking fountain area looked appealing as well. Despite wanting to try this restaurant brand for a while, and finally having the chance since I work a lot, I won’t be returning. This visit occurred on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at 3:49 PM at 4601 S. Medford Dr, Lufkin, Texas, and I feel like I wasted $64.

Wow, this place has really declined. Every single table was dirty, and I'm not exaggerating. I had to wait for someone to clean off a table before I could sit down. They only wiped my table, and during the 20 minutes I was there, they didn't clean any of the other tables, which were all covered in crumbs and trash. I had to ask for everything I ordered, and the food was nowhere near as good as it used to be. I went in hoping for a better option than fried chicken from Chick-fil-A, but I ended up spending $16 on a mediocre sandwich, a tiny salad, and a questionable sweet tea. Definitely not worth it.
