Guacamole's Mexican Grill And Cantina

The food and drinks were amazing!! The menu is extensive and has authentic Mexican fare. The ceviche and micheladas were half price when we visited on Sunday. It's was all delicious and the atmosphere is great too. We will be back!!

EDIT: We have gone back twice since this review, and won?t be going a third time. We ordered curbside both times, and the food was nowhere near the quality of quantity of our first visit. The tacos had approximately 1 tablespoon of fatty meat on crumbled stale tortillas. $18 for three tacos, no salsa, no chips, they were pathetic. We gave it one more try a month later, same result. I think they have cut costs and therefore quality due to COVID. I left them with two starts because the first visit was so good. The last two would get one. Delicious food, fresh ingredients, great staff. This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Lufkin. I had the El Pastor (pork) street tacos with charro beans. My husband had the shrimp soup. Both were wonderful. The soup is such a large portion (we could have shared it) and had around 20 nice size shrimp. This is just the normal order, you have the option of adding more shrimp if you?d like. The restaurant was very clean, warm chips and salsa were served immediately, and the margaritas are lovely.They also have a long list of weekday lunch specials around $6 (didn?t apply to our weekend visit).

The staff knows what they are doing and it reflects in their service and their food. We were not rushed through our meal, and it was a meal with savoring. Very flavorful and so so good! We went on Taco Tuesday and enjoyed their street tacos.

Our server was working hard. It seemed like she was the only one working our side. But she was excellent and attentive whenever she was able to get back around to us. The food was delicious and hot to the touch. Great service and food.

I got a bean burrito (beans and cheese) with queso on top. It was pretty good, the beans were a little spicy but otherwise very nice. Out waitress was Yuri, she was very good with our orders, she didn?t forget anything or took a long time to get it back. 5 stars for great service, food, and music!
