Dairy Queen - Lufkin

Waited in drive thru line about 7-8 minutes before getting to speaker to order. There were 3 cars in front of us when we got there. No one ever came on the speaker to take our order so we pulled up to the window assuming the speaker was broken. Therewere three women working that we could see. One was making something for a customer, one had a broom and was sweeping, and theother one was just standing there talking to the one sweeping. No one ever came to the window to take our order or to tell usthey would be with us in a minute. After waiting 5 more minutes, we just left. There were 5 cars in line behind us. Won't beback!

This is the fastest Dairy Queen we’ve ever visited. We received our food shortly after filling up four cups with drinks and sitting down, which is unusual since most DQ locations take at least 10 minutes or more to serve your order. The drink machine is a touch screen and offers crushed ice, which is a nice touch. I even got an extra chicken strip in my box! The burgers were tasty as well. They were out of onions during our visit, but someone came to inform us about it and offered us the option to change our order or proceed without them. The staff was very friendly, and you could hear them laughing and enjoying each other’s company in the kitchen. They greeted every customer who came in, making for a welcoming atmosphere.

Go here often. Always great food but not sure what happened to my chocolate shake yesterday. It had ice pieces in it. Crunchy and had to pour a 1/4 of it out. Food was great though as usual!!

On July 13, 2022, at 1:29 PM, we ordered two large Blizzard treats and a kids' meal. Unfortunately, only two flavors were available from the menu. The young staff members seemed inexperienced and provided poor customer service. We used to visit this location frequently when it was bright and welcoming, but now it feels dark and uninviting. The customer service has declined so much that we've decided not to return. We used to come here at least three times a week, but now we will happily drive to other locations instead.

I gave this particular Dairy Queen two chances, but unfortunately, both experiences were disappointing. The first time, I ordered a medium Dirt Pie Blizzard and found that it wasn't mixed properly; half of it was just vanilla ice cream. I thought the size might be the issue, so I tried again and ordered a mini, but once again, I encountered the same problem—halfway through, it was straight vanilla. Additionally, I ordered a burger without mayo or mustard, but they delivered it with only cheese, completely missing the lettuce, pickles, and tomatoes that were supposed to be included. Afterward, I went to the Dairy Queen in Huntington and got their Dirt Pie Blizzard, which was perfectly mixed and chocolatey all the way through. Someone needs to teach them how to make proper Blizzards!
