However, as administrators cannot postpone the original post, I have to publish this review again at the right company here and delete it from the wrong company. It is very easy to overlook this tiny bite embedded in a former garage in the Hüxstrasse, which has existed since the beginning of 2020 as a depositor of the Italian restaurant “Don Vito am Turm”. Behind a small counter, pizze and pane are offered for the hand or a short stop on site. So it also brought me here for a snack during a city stroll in an afternoon. Outside view. A handful of simple standing places and beer garden benches offer space to dine on site in front of as well as within the small “Schuppens”. With an old “garage”, however, the place is by no means comparable thanks to beautiful tiles, ornaments and also wall paintings, which of course also applies to general cleanliness. For me, it was so atmospheric that it was brought out of the tiny room. Interior view. During my visit, the snack was operated by an older lady, yes I even want to say “Italian mom”. Although it is only such a small snack, it is still served and served directly at the few tables. The woman sprayed a really pleasant hospitality with her honest friendliness and despite the full-filled local relaxed atmosphere. As I said, the small card, in addition to the expected pizza portions, also offers anti pasti and panini sandwiches, and thus just what can best be brought from Italian cuisine to the customer as a snack. For me it should be the offer but the appetizing Valtellina salad, consisting of rocket, leaf salads, burrata cheese, fresh figs, Bresaola ham from the Valtellina valley and young Grana Padano cheese. After a little comprehensible waiting time of about 10 minutes (the little place was full as I said and the lady alone) came a really appealing portion in a deep plate on the table. Valtellina salad with rocket, leaf salads, Burrata cheese, fresh figs, Bresaola ham from Valtellina valley and young Granda Padano cheese. Among the Bresaola slices, some rocket and the centrally located burrata, crisp, freshly kept by cooling, various salad leaves were hidden, which were acidified with some balsamic vinegar. To this end, the promised figs settled in slices that contributed a pleasant sweetness. The really luxuriantly portioned burrata gave the salad a beautiful creaminess and fullness and the ham rounded off heartily with a beautifully strong taste. The Grana Padano cheese was also portioned in an appealing amount of neat plank, so its characteristic taste came to bear. The pane, which was enriched with some oil, could also tastefully convince with appropriate saltiness, but was a little dry. Nevertheless, at €7.5, I can only positively evaluate the price performance ratio, but this is not only due to the size of the portion, but also to the round and fresh taste as described. During this short visit, the “small Don Vito” was able to bring me a tasteful and also service of moderately successful joy, which was definitely worth his money.
