The Mühlenstraße is still the main road from the south to the old town centre. Of course, the real estate for gastronomic offers is also popular in such a large place, as one is directly at the heart of the flows of people and thus at least potentially a high number of guests would be guaranteed. In the years in which I can call Lübeck my home, a smaller shop area on the side of the Haerder Center has always seen gastronomic plants, which, however, have been subject to frequent fluctuations. I received Schlottman's potato kitchen as an enrichment and I had already staged here when it still existed. A Döner-Imbiss-Intermezzo did not, of course, spare this space, but was, as expected, also not permanently created. Admittedly, I didn't go up in enthusiasm storms when with the Asian Dreams only one more of the small locals already found in large numbers in the city center with universal-ferno food received a move. For my constant search for variety and new, this certainly did not seem to be an additional option. External view with free seat. Since then, not only did the always good filling with guests, but also general reviews on a wide range of portals prove more and more that perhaps not only has another interchangeable Asian temple opened here. More and more it came to my focus, because Asian cuisine must of course not be missing for a change and also promises surprising enjoyment when a beautiful selection and homemade freshness of a mammoth card with cost-optimized glutamate standard range is preferred. A first glance at the online menu confirmed the legality of my interest at first glance less. A standard sushi was also in the immediate vicinity of fried noodles and fried rice, as well as the combination of different meat types with currys and also known Asian sauces. Even a cheap lunch table has not been in itself or through the selection offered something that would draw me right here. Nevertheless, the menu ultimately provided an orientation that markedly increased my interest compared to the other Asian diocese in Lübeck's city centre: a variety of Vietnamese dishes in the appetizers and specialties, which should originate from the tradition there. The decision on the first afternoon visit was therefore taken and received its implementation. Interior with the aquarium. Inside view with the bar. Also in the sense of the ambience, I think it is necessary to testify to the Asian Dreams that you are not doing very little for not first being assigned to the uniform, broad Asia-Bistro mass. This begins at the entrance to the single-size restaurant where the typical goldfish aquarium welcomes guests on the left. In the rear narrower space, as was the case with the predecessors, one placed a counter on the right side. Wall design and the light of the Lampion lamps otherwise wrap the local in a warmer colour scheme, which perfectly contrasts the completely black tables and padded chairs. The positive is definitely to be noted that the Bistro is still looking at the renovation today, because the device does not look worn and dusted. A wall painting with the downtown silhouette Lübecks counteracts an Asian kitty, but is accompanied at the same time by Asian-cracked images in the other room. In summary, renovation is quite successful, but the ambience of a German-Asian restaurant does not go beyond it. The toilets are to be found flat in the rear area and in appropriate condition. Black rattan chairs on white folding tables naturally also provide outdoor seating on the forecourt and can also be protected with two large screens if necessary. A middle-aged man took care of the guests while a second person audible in the rear pans and woks swung. German communication was no problem for the Lord and also a good attention belongs to his qualities. A rather sober, more emotionless way is perhaps part of male Asian service in a certain way, but a smile and a little more cordiality you always like. As already mentioned, the menu is similar to the usual suspects that it offers a wide range and quantity of different Asian foods. But they are also called Asian Dreams and not only Vietnamese Dreams or Japanese Dreams. For example, there is a section for all kinds of sushi from Sashimi to the well-known European California or Tempura roll in the multi-page long offer. Fried noodle and rice variations are also lacking as much as red and coconut curry. There are, of course, crispy ducks and chickens in all conceivable accompaniments, as well as Udon and rice ribbon noodle dishes. Even the topical “Bowl-Sparte” is not dispensed with here in its offer. Last but not least, there is, of course, a lunch ticket where the prices that do not exceed the 17 € limit here anyway are completely below 10 €. The presentation of the culinary offer therefore, in a certain way, contradicts a special freshness and authenticity in view of the quantitative extent. Since the division of Vietnamese dishes still contained many previously unknown and at the same time appealing sounding compositions for me, this was my great curiosity and I decided this afternoon for the “Canh Chua Nam Bo” for 5.5 €. This was explained in more detail in the menu as “traditional soup of Vietnamese cuisine with mushrooms, soy sprouts in a sour broth, refined with garlic and Vietnamese herbs”. When choosing between shrimps and salmon as a deposit, I decided for the latter. After a short waiting period of 5 minutes, I was allowed to taste the flavored world. “Canh Chua Nam Bo” with salmon. A freshly hot steam already escaped from the beautiful red bowl. In the broth white mushrooms present themselves as well as china cabbage, onions and soy sprouts. What I thought to be lushly used fresh salmon, unfortunately, turned out to be banal tomato pieces. The fish in itself filled a spoon with goodness in a cooked preparation, which was otherwise not to be expected otherwise. Lachseinlage in “Canh Chua Nam Bo”. But now to taste. In this case, the broth already held the promised acidity, which was well dosed and also paired with a certain sweetness. Perhaps the small pineapple pieces seemed to be responsible for this, which I could discover later in the insert. My palate has been revitalized once. Positively surprised me also the insert of the mentioned vegetables and mushrooms. Even the latter were still crunchy and thus seemed to have been combined with the broth a la minute, while the salmon was probably cooked in this from the outset. This would have been naturally dry without the soup, but tastefully showed at least clearly perceptible aroma. I really liked to spoon the bowl completely with this traditional Vietnamese soup and can only attest the cook a good feeling for balanced Asian taste world, which met great freshness here, especially in vegetables. 5,5 € were a really great price for a beautiful new taste impression. So were there really Asian dreams I could take in the summary from this little restaurant? As mentioned, interior and ambience have been visibly refurbished, but would rather not make me dream (either in a positive way, nor as a nightmare). Relaxed eating and feeling comfortable can be found here anyway. Of course, the service is also very important for a well-being atmosphere. In this category, I remember a sensored, attentive performance by the Lord, who would have confessed a certain amount of emotional, hospitable warmth but also well. On the culinary side, my expectations were somewhat attenuated due to the sheer extent of the Asian bandwidth. However, the Asian Dreams with the Vietnamese soup “Canh Chua Nam Bo” made me laugh exactly what I hoped: A new flavor chord for me, paired with good freshness of the products For that the price of 5.5 € for my sensation was very good. Since I was far from personally in all of the numerous Asian offers of the city centre, I cannot, of course, provide a comprehensive comparison to the evaluation of the recommendedness. In the Riege I visited, I would definitely classify the Asian Dreams in the entirety of ambience, service and, above all, food quality and taste, and thus call this premier visit a successful one.
