I have got an unexpectedly large bowl of crisp fresh salad and a crimped dressing of the special kind. 5 slices of bread, three different sorts. applaus, the euro is still worth something.
The former, downhill tram depot in ludwigshafen am rhein south was renovated and opened in autumn/winter 2015. Here you will find the barbarossa bakery and the paneo restaurant: they belong together, are located in the same part of the building (common spaces and personal) and complement each other perfectly. the bakery makes first on (6 clock), the restaurant only later. until then the tables can be occupied by the bakery guests, there is an operation for coffee and cake. from 11 you can eat warm. the menu is clear and simple, the dishes freshly prepared and optionally served with the in-house fresh bread (suppen, salad). as dessert everyone finds something delicious and naturally fresh in the cool counter of bakery; in the products come fine exquisite ingredients, the sortiment changes regularly. a terrace with views of the old rails (you sit in the depot in it or before!) and a lot of suns (showers available) there are also. in rain, one of the rustic wooden tables or the corner with couch, earrings and stehlampen is recommended. for the children there are high chairs, toys and wraps in the women's / hindered toilet. parking spaces and bicycle stands are located on the building, the tram and bus stop a few meters away. only drop of pain: the restaurant closes at 20 o'clock.
Eating is the hammer, but eternal waiting times and the request in the middle of eating the reserved (!) table to change and inattentive services have spoiled us the fun.If you have a lot of time and beyond, you can look forward to an excellent eating.
I was in the paneo for the third time. Last week, an attempt had failed on Wednesday: when we had failed with various other people at the same time. 18.30 a.m., we were told that the restaurant is closed today. Also we were eating this week, we were told at 20 a.m. that from October from mo to mi is always only open until 20 a.m. Pity, was not at the door and when we sat down at 18:30, we were not told. I had new wein and the "pizza picante" - this was good and chess, but not picant. neither chilie on it, nor was there anything sharp on it. Kniti is not a picant in my eyes. but otherwise quite tasty, only the expectation to a piquant then does not completely cover with what you eat. price is the picante at 9.50 euro. pizza service was very friendly. ambiente nice. unfortunately we had to go too early - we had actually planned a dessert, because it was a refreshed birthday dinner.
