This restaurant is definitely the place to go in Ludlow. The entree portions are large enough for two people and the food is good. The service is the only downfall, as the waitress we had was pretty miserable and didn’t show the hospitality you normally receive in Ludlow. It would be a 5 star review if the service was better. --- **Dining Experience: Dinner** **Price Range:** $20–30 per person **Food Rating:** 4/5 **Service Rating:** 3/5 **Atmosphere Rating:** 3/5 --- The dinner I had was quite enjoyable overall. The food was definitely the highlight, earning a solid 4 out of 5 stars for its quality and flavor. However, the service was a bit lacking, falling to a 3 out of 5. The atmosphere was also average, receiving the same 3 out of 5 rating. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience, but there's definitely room for improvement in service and ambiance.

We each ordered meals that came with rolls, salad, and a side of our choice, and we also ordered garlic parmesan wings. The only reason I gave this place two stars is because the rolls were delicious, but we requested more and never received them. I ordered the special, chicken Marsala; my husband got stuffed shells and meatballs; one friend chose shrimp with rice; and the other ordered chicken tenders and fries. The shrimp were overcooked, and my friend nearly vomited because they tasted like the murky water they were boiled in. The rice tasted like minute rice straight out of a box. The chicken Marsala was unexpectedly sweet and seemed to be fried instead of grilled, which was disappointing. The friend who had chicken tenders and fries thought they were decent, but it’s hard to mess those up. As for our waiter, his service was acceptable, although he didn't apologize for the bad shrimp; he did take it off the bill, and we replaced it with wings. Overall, I would recommend considering other restaurants in the area before choosing DJ's.

Great local restaurant had three meals during week of skiing at Okemo. Great haddock dishes, well made manhattans and excellent service. Highly recommended

When we stayed near Ludlow, there were limited dinner choices on some weekday evenings. I think this was partly due to a flood in the town back in July of 2023 (i.e., just 10 11 weeks prior to our visit). Though my impression was that winter is the 'high season ' for the town, I 'd think that it would really begin ramping up when the leaves change. On our first evening (a Monday) this was one of the only places that appeared open. DJ 's is located in roughly the center of the 3 block main business district. There are other plazas a few blocks further on, but they are not part of the continuous original main street (from what I could tell). You enter ate a front bar area and small dining room with a host stand just beyond. When we entered, they conveyed us further back and to the left into a much larger dining space. My impression was that the front area was more for 'the locals ' while the larger room was for tourists. There were several large groups there. They had booths along both side walls and large tables in the center. The lighting was a bit dim, partly as it was late in the day and partly due to all the dark wood finishes. Our server was nice enough and checked back regularly. If you arrive hungry or have a convenient place to store leftovers, dinner here would be a good choice. In my case, I was really hoping for something lighter (or at least not to waste significant food). They were nice enought to negotiate a grilled chicken dinner salad for me, though I 'd have preferred one without said chicken. They don 't offer a lot of appetizers that you could turn into a light meal and they don 't offer a salad section of the menu. Again, I was glad that they were accommodating. Come hungry. From observing a nearby group, they seemed to have an extensive beer selection (though I did not order any myself). The food itself was fine. It just wasn 't what I was looking for at that point, but I didn 't feel that I had other good choices. I did not leave hungry, at any rate. Depending on your circumstances, this could be a solid choice for a dinner in Ludlow.

We were in the area and decided to try this restaurant for dinner. The restaurant was immediately choatic from when you first entered. There were people everywhere and no order to anything that was going on. It was a busy night, and we didn't have a reservation. We expected a wait, and we had one. However, many parties around us had reservations and still had to wait as well. The atmosphere was also very dated and looked like it could use a vacuum. After a while, we were finally seated. The waitress was nice. The food took a while to arrive at our table. However, when it did arrive, it was tastier than I was expecting and very hot.

I ordered my filet steak medium rare, but it arrived well done. The salad bar was below expectations. On a positive note, the staff were very friendly. However, the food overall was disappointing.

I've been dining at DJ's with my family since we purchased our house in Vermont back in 2001. We have always looked forward to the hot rolls, wings, and salad bar on our way to exit 4 to New York. Recently, they added a calf apron to the menu, which is fantastic. You really can’t go wrong with the crispy duck or NY strip either. I absolutely love this place, especially the people!

Overall, the food and service were excellent. The rolls were absolutely delicious! The golden chicken tenders and ribs were also very tasty. My husband really enjoyed his chicken-filled dish and soup. I highly recommend this restaurant.

What an incredible dining experience! Our waitress was exceptionally friendly and attentive, going above and beyond for our entire family. We had a young child with us who could be a bit picky, but she handled it all seamlessly. The food was outstanding, with generous portions and delicious flavors. The prime rib was enormous and cooked to perfection, while the scallops au gratin were the best we've ever tasted. The children's Chicken Teriyaki came with two full chicken breasts and was thoroughly enjoyed as well. We were recommended this restaurant by a local, and we will definitely return on our next ski trip to the area. This was a highlight of our trip, and we truly appreciate the care shown by everyone!

This unassuming place had prompt attentive service. Delicious hot and crispy dinner rolls. A lot of specials. Fresh salads with very good dressings. The haddock with spinach and cheddar was very good and the grilled boneless pork with butter sauce was excellent. We plan to be back.

Kayla was awesome! Thank you for taking care of us three high school school buddies in Town for ski weekend. Class of 1984, filet was the best. Scampi was very cheesy and tasty. Chowder was best ever according to my buddy Jonesy.Well done DJ’s and Kayla.
