Finding vegan options in Ludington can be challenging, but this place is definitely worth a visit. While the choices are limited, they're absolutely delicious! Be sure to try the sesame ball! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Blu Moon:
I hate to leave a negative review, but it's my honest experience. There aren't many dining options in Ludington, so we decided to give this place a try since they had four items on the menu. Unfortunately, our experience was not great. The service was poor, starting with the hostess and continuing with the waitress, which was only moderately disappointing. The bun for the Impossible Burger was rock hard, and the patt... View all feedback.
Dedicated vegan/vegetarian section on menu. Clearly labeled vegan items. They recently made the switch to Impossible from Beyond. Vegan Poke is very good (but a very small portion). Curry was decent (and a small portion as well), but arguably not really curry. Sesame balls are divine. They can make the Laotian Noodles vegan as well. Wish they served the whole vegan menu on their rooftop patio!
Most vegan options are on the sushi menu. I tried the spaghetti with beyond meatballs on it but it was just a beyond burger on top of marina. The burger looked raw and tasted weird. There was a vegan sandwich available during the day and that was better than the spaghetti.
We went to Blu Moon twice in December. The chef was friendly and very talented. I can't say enough about this place! Do not go to the Ludington area without trying it.
Location and service were great. menu has a dedicated vegan section, although only 3 items on it. as another valiant said, the sesameballs were actually divine. I had the ratatouille, which we very meh it was not a traditional ratatouille, it was broccoli, exalted, paprika over sticky rice in a hearty marinara sauce. It was just okay. but there were very few vegan options in the opposite, so I was very happy to have a place that had to eat for me!
There aren't that many restaurants in Ludington where one can get good vegetarian/vegan food, so we come here a lot : They usually have 3 or 4 vegetarian entrees available, but they are not all listed on the menu you have to ask for a separate menu or ask the server to specially tell you the veg features. This is the only downside to me, because when we are out with omnis it just makes me stand out more to have to ask specially for the veggie menu. Also, when we were there last, the hostess had no clue about the veggie menu when I tried to ask for it while being seated. Sometimes they will also have one vegetarian pasta and one or two vegetarian/vegan salads or soups listed on the menu (the menu changes frequently though . Veggie sushi is almost always available which is great and we get it a lot. They have an outdoor/rooftop seating section in the summer which is fun, but to my knowledge the veggie options up there are pretty much limited to one vegetarian sandwich, a plain salad, hummus with pita and veggies, fries, and the veggie sushi. They used to also have a black bean burger but didn't have that this summer. Overall though the Blu Moon has the best and widest selection of veg friendly food in Ludington.
