We wanted a... read more The setting of the restaurant is very nice on a square in the old centre of Lucca. That is the good part. However, our food experience was not good. We wanted a Prosecco as aperitive. The sommelier was quick to point out that there was no prosecco on the wine list. We took another sparkling wine as aperitive. EUR 24 for 2 glasses. I became worried when the waitress put a large piece of bread on the table. My starter (mazzancolla) was OK but nothing special. Two shrimps with mayonnaise on a slice of tomato. My main dish was chicken with truffle (pollo al tartufo) costing EUR 48. The chicken was OK but honestly there was no trace of truffle in the dish at all. My wife had a risotto puttanesca. The portion was minimal, max. 5 scoups costing EUR 32. The taste was OK but nothing special. I complained to the waitress about the the quality fo the food. The total bill was EUR 150. For me this is a tourist trap restaurant to be avoided and not worthy to bear the Michelin sign.

The tuna tartare is i... read more A visit to Giglio Island is an invitation to a banquet where time seems to stand still. Wine flows freely and delicious dishes are served. The tuna tartare is incredible. Pasta with seafood and fish: I've never eaten anything so delicious. The service is discreet and extremely kind. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

High-quality, beautifully presented food, a welcoming atmosphere, and friendly, fast service. The dishes were very tempting, with interesting presentations. We were very pleased, and will definitely be back to try something else. Approved!
