We had a wonderful meal accompanied by a delicious glass of their house (sangiovese) wine. Their tagliere (salumi and cheese board) was of high quality, and they served their own homemade kiwi and apple jam which was to die for. I asked the staff if I could buy some from them as they have many products on display for sale, but since the jam was homemade it wasn't for sale but they very kindly provided me with a (very generous) sample size for free as a gesture of goodwill! I believe this restaurant is well known for their steaks however since my partner and I weren't too hungry we had a very light dinner but I must admit, we could see them preparing the steaks and they seemed delicious and perfectly cooked! I am sure we will be back but with a bigger appetite next time to try! Very kind and attentive staff, food and wine was of high quality and lastly, the location is literally two steps from piazza anfiteatro, so all in all this is a real gem. Thank you!

We happened upon this small establishment by chance and were delighted by our experience. Most importantly, the food. We had a variety of dishes; bruschetta, pasta, filet, sausage and potato, deserts and each one was spectacular. The service was not only efficient but personal and friendly. Viola was a delight. I did not get everyone’s name that cared for us but I felt like I was at an old friend’s home for dinner. If you want to have pizza in the Piazza with a hundred other people then you should do that. But if you want to have a dinner that you will remember 5 years from now and eat real food served by people who care if you love what you are eating, then go here!

The place is... read more We arrived in Piazza dell'Anfiteatro and found ourselves in front of the restaurant da Cicci. Cristina and the owner Paolo welcomed us like family. The place is very nice and well-kept. The porchetta and the Fiorentina are truly delicious. I highly recommend it. The wine is excellent. It's a must-try every time we return to Lucca.
