El Paisano Mexican - Lubbock

Great food for a great price! Becoming regular customers because of how good and fast the food is. The tables are clean, atmosphere welcoming and friendly staff. Always look for the specials, they offer great deals! Usually around $5-8 per plate. Slightly difficult to find, next door to the subway.

El Paisano is one of the better Mexican restaurants in Lubbock, probably on my top 3 list right now. The restaurant is clean, the prices were low and the service was great. I have eaten there twice now and left totally satisfied on both occasions. The food is a bit more traditional Mexican style (Chihuahuan) than tex-mex. The complimentary chile (salsa) and chips are excellent, very hot and flavorful. The chilequiles (chopped enchiladas) and barbacoa (shredded beef) are both very well prepared. The beans and potatoes are also very enjoyable. The only thing I have found I didn't like was the rice. It didn't have enough seasoning to be really savory and too much to have the fresh taste of plain white rice.

This is a great place to eat. They keep a neat and clean kitchen. Good seating for one or the whole family.

What a nice couple of waitresses! So friendly, so awesome, and so great at their job! And the food... well it's just SUPER FANTASTIC!!!!

First time there. Took my mom and my wife's grandpa and we all agreed, the food was delicious. Can't wait to take my wife there.
