Brussel sprouts were incredible. Crab fries were wonderful. I asked for onion straws there were only two on my sandwich couldn't tell they were even there. Server was awkward but very nice and attentive. Love the vibe of the restaurant over all. I will go there as long as they are open. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 View all feedback.
What Mackenzie F doesn't like about Wheel Tamaqua, Pa:
The only good thing I have to say about this place is Megan our waitress. We came from out of town to meet some friends who had highly recommend this place. We ordered crabby fries and the cheese came out still frozen on the fries, and the fries were soggy. One of our sandwiches didn't have what we ordered on it, and after we were done eating we noticed people being turned away because something in the kitchen broke.... View all feedback.
Even though I am highly lactose intolerant, my handy lactaid kept me safe and comfortable to ensure I got a chance to enjoy my experience at the WHEEL in Tamaqua.I remember getting keto bread just to try it and see if I would like it, and it was ok. Not sure the amount of heavy toppings I got could handle the thin keto bread I got on my cheese melt though. The atmosphere was as expected cause the food was semi fast so it’s a lot of families coming in, so sometimes you may come to loud environment in the dinning, plus a TV.I plan to come back to try some more because it’s a specialty spot and hard to find especially where I’m coming from.
Delicious food! But definitely just eat there because it can get soggy by the time you get homeParking: Busy street. Usually hard to find parking.
Build your own Grilled Cheese with so many possibilities and sides. Definitely recommend if you're wanting something different and fun.Vegetarian options: You can choose what you want on your sandwich with so many possibilities. This place is definitely vegetarian friendly.Kid-friendliness: Fun for kids to make their own Grilled Cheese.Wheelchair accessibility: The building is all one level and the back dining room is accessible via ramp.
Overall meh. Not bad tasting but the food wouldn't fill a gully goat. Not enough portions
It 's a shame to give a negative review as I 've been here once before and the food was good. I went with one other person and the restaurant was not very busy. There was one other table and a small party in the other room.Once seated, we got our drinks quickly, sent our orders in, and waited an hour before the waitress came back with our food. We were not checked on before then and had to ask for drink refills. Each of the sandwiches we got were burnt on one side, and one sandwich was cold. The sauces we ordered were also mixed up between the orders. The sides of tots that we got were cold as well. When the waitress came back, we told her they were burnt and she asked us What do you want to do about it? I don 't think the impetus of fixing their somehow both burnt and cold dish should be on the customer. We weren 't offered replacements or money off of the order. She did come back several times to ask us how it was, but after mentioning that it wasn 't good, it felt almost comical to be asked as if we 'd change our minds. We ate what wasn 't burnt, paid, and left. Really disappointed with the service and the quality of food. For $35 dollars we shouldn 't have to wait an hour to get burnt and stale grilled cheese sandwiches.
