Islamorada Shrimp Shack

Food was delicious. Very reasonably priced. Was hard to choose what to get. So many options. Must try the key lime pie! Every bite was amazing.

We brought in our Fresh Catch of Hogfish. We had it prepared two ways: Almondine and Picatta. The cook on both fishes were perfect. A little too much butter in the piccata but delicious. We were never informed of specials of the day or cocktail of the day. We did not at all care for the fish dip. It was dry. We ordered the Sampler App: the Shrimp Fritters were flavorful and awesome. The Calamari and Alligator was too tough to eat. The service on the other hand was... Bad, just rude and she was never there. When she brought the check for the two of us she said b thank you and there was an 18% gratuity added on. This after we got our own boxes, had to ask for dessert to go, when we found her bartending. We needed things while we were eating, ie: lemons, water another cocktail, the things! She stopped in once. When we said, why the 18%?? Her answer was confrontational why was there a problem? She knew the problem. We had to go at that point. Enter at your own risk. We grew up in the business of course we were going to tip her. But not 18

Shrimp fitters were delicious, service was great and the shrimp po boy was our best lunch in Islamorada! Oh and the fries, omg so good!

What a pleasant surprise this place was. I asked the waitress for whatever the cook recommended. I got grouper and fresh shrimp The grouper here was fresher than lazy days. At a quarter of the price. Service was better here than lazy days also. Don't know why I'm comparing the two. I guess $350 vs $60 bucks and the 60 bucks wins... is a big deal. ? Bonus! The waitress made me draw my wife on the table with crayons ? what a great personality! She must have been 18 if she was lucky . Hysterical

Very tasty shrimps in various ways, plus original fries and interesting sauces. Everything at a moderate price. Nice service. I recommend.
