Tacoss - Lower Alloway Creek

Just passing through and decided to take a chance on this truck. Everything from presentation, to freshness to customer service was great. The tacos were Beautifully plated and the limes were perfectly juicy, fresh and ripe. The picante salsa was really tasty which helped the fact that the meat had almost no flavor and was actually pretty bland although juicy and cooked well. Normally I would give less stars but I believe they just had an off-day and since everything else was so good I would be willing to try them again.

Great food cart. Map here shows wrong location though. It's in the parking lot of Harbor Freight. Most meals are under $10 and lots of options.

Salem is truly fortunate to have an amazing selection of authentic and fantastic taquerias, many trucks as well as brick and mortar places. Tacos El Palenque is an awesome food truck in the Harbor Freight Parking lot, everything is so fresh and well prepared. I've had a variety of their tacos as well as burritos and it's all been fantastic. They have a really wide choice of meats for your tacos, everything from standard Asada and Pollo to Tripas, Cabeza, and Lengua. Easy on and off from I-5 and Portland Rd. head over from work for lunch quite often as it's so convenient for me.

Tried this taco truck today and ordered up a Quesa Birria. The young lady taking orders was pretty cold and unfriendly. She seemed to be unhappy with her job. After a bit of a wait, my order was up. The Quesa Birria was pretty soggy. The limes were not fresh. Overall taste was ok. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat at this place again. The grub was definitely not worth the $9 price tag.
