What ever they sprayed in the pans or wok you can taste the chemicals/soap. never mind the fact I almost chipped a tooth on what ever was in the rice. Maybe Monday's are not their days to oder? View all feedback.
The menu on their website was impressively lengthy, showcasing that they offered much more than just baked goods. When I walked in, I couldn’t help but smile. The moment I stepped inside, the delightful aroma hit me. I was greeted with an array of baked items, cakes, rolls, and even a kitchen where they prepared food for customers to enjoy on-site. I was handed a large bowl and began to explore the various individually wrapped options, carefully selecting my pork buns and a few other items I just had to try. I also ordered the house lo mein (extra spicy, please!). After paying for my selections, I couldn’t wait to dig in. The enticing scent of the lo mein was making my mouth water the entire way home. Finally, I got home and devoured my meal. I was completely satisfied, and as Arnold famously said in the movies, “I’ll be back!”
I ordered the Beeflok-Lak while my partner had the C21 combination plate. My partner thought his meal was satisfactory, but I absolutely loved mine. I was a bit disappointed that it didn't come with rice, but the portion size was generous and everything tasted fantastic. I also tried several of the baked goods: the fried teiggebäck (simple but tasty), the kokakuchencreme (delicious), and the custardbunken (the filling was good, but the pastry itself was a bit dry). Overall, everything was on point, and I can't really complain since I got my food at 9:15. I initially came for their renowned dishes but was pleasantly surprised to find other tasty options as well. I’m too full to try more right now, but at least I know I don’t have to go all the way to Boston for these rolls. They are slightly pricier than in Boston, but the quick 20-minute drive is definitely worth it!
The beef pho was excellent! The broth was full of flavor. I also visited a few Asian bakeries nearby, and they still have the Chinese menu at China Star.
