I visited this place during Shark Week, and I absolutely loved it! It's a fantastic spot for enjoying ice and relaxing. The food is decent, but they really excel in providing delicious ice treats and drinks. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Sonic Drive-in:
As sad as this sounds I drove about 40 minutes to this place because we don't have a sonic around here. I got popcorn chicken, tots and a Oreo cheesecake shake and a soft pretzel. The tots and the pretzel were good, the rest wasn't great but overall I would probably go back and get different items View all feedback.
No curbside help to wait on u, so had to do the drive thru. No shakes cuz the machine is down . As I waited for a drink in the drive thru, all I heard was an employee in the background howling w laughter. I WILL NOT BOTHER GOING BACK even though ur in my neighborhood. The place has become a ghetto.
Customer service was awful. They pretty much only accept cash but don't tell you til you get to the window. A hand full of the drive in stalls were out of order. Just wasn't impressed. The pretzels are a saving grace. Best thing about the whole place
Great atmosphere, burgers are really dry and over cooked. The tots and dogs are a much better choice. We had a bad experience here. And when they remade the burger it was exactly the same way the first 1 was. Dry and over cooked. Won't ever get the burgers from here again.
I went to this Sonic (ordered online) to pick up a cheeseburger combo meal. As part of that, I ordered a large Dr. Pepper with sweet cream added. When the worker brought my order to my car, she handed me 4 tiny packets of half and half, the stuff you put in coffee. I asked her if this is what they use for sweet cream, and she said yes. Called some Sonics, checked online, and they use an ice cream slightly watered down mixture for sweet cream. Called the offending Sonic, talked to the manager, and she told me the same thing. Told her about me getting little half and half containers, and she told me that is what they do when they run out of the ice cream mixture. I then asked her if she ran out of the mixture. She told me sweet cream only gets ordered once a month. I asked her what does she do when sweet cream gets ordered once a month? Then she told me she hadn 't started to make the mixture for TODAY, yet. SO...sweet cream only gets ordered once a month, but she makes it everyday...and her employee told me they use half and half for sweet cream. She then asked me something VERY fast, which I didn 't catch, and when I said, What?, She said, Okay then and hung up on me. This place screwed me, I caught her in a lie, and she hung up on me, that 's what happened. UPDATE: I can no longer order from the Lives Park, Illinois, Sonic on the Sonic app. As far as this location goes, it says Ordering Ahead Unavailable on the app. When I try ordering on the website, it says that, too. When I called Sonic customer service, they checked online and on the app, and told me you CAN order ahead at this location. I can 't, not even on their website. Sonic is screwing me.
The food all had a sweetness to it and was obviously all fried in the same vat (fries, onion rings and tots all tasted like desserts). We could barely understand the drive through attendant and realized it was not a speaker issue when we got to the window. We almost got shorted $5 on change very glad I counted it! Despite asking to have mayonnaise omitted and stating it was due to allergy We had to have one of the sandwiches remade and where we appreciate having them do it, the attitude was not worth the wait. The menue states whipped cream and it is clearly a non dairy topping. This Sonic is not the great experience we had down south on the east coast.
