What Laura Hamilton doesn't like about Ebenezer's Pub:
"This is a nice restaurant with excellent service, but I found the prices to be quite high, despite the menu’s warning about them. I ordered a small, thin burger for $22, which I felt was overpriced. The Reubens were good, also priced at $22, and the chicken wings were a staggering $80 for lunch. Overall, I would rate the food a 3, the service a 5, and the atmosphere a 5.".
Came here for drink was truly shocked at the prices . More disappointing was being served a beer that tasted like vinegar, it felt like a scam
First time visiting, was brought here by a friend who knew I had an affinity with Belgian beer. Out of the way place, but very serious beer selection and good food. Service was good, this despite the fairly busy Friday night crowd. I started with a Chimay Grande Réserve (pictured), when food arrived I switched to a Weihenstephaner. A Braupakt which is a collaboration between Germany's Weihenstephan and Belgium's St. Bernardus. No matter your favorite style, there is a beer for every taste. And it will be served in the proper glass. The shear amount of imported beers on tap is impressive. I had the Pliny the Younger burger with house fritte. Both were delicious. The decor was charming and the inside bar well appointed with the classic/old style tap handles. Beer lovers should count Ebenezer's as a must visit spot in Maine.
We showed up without a reservation. Which definitely recommend having before showing up. Unless you want to chill at the bar. Had the shrimp appetizer, salads and the cheesecake. May I say it was totally worth the wait. Cause it was so good. Definitely recommend going here. And make sure to make a reservation. This place is busy.
Cool bar with old fashioned beer taps. Waitress was great Food was good. Portions on the smaller side for the price.
The prices are outrageous for the quality and quantity of food. This place has lost touch over the years.
