The service was perfect and... read more We almost missed dining at this restaurant and we're all happy to have dinner here. A quaint little restaurant but well-established. The service was perfect and our server was attentive. He explained the dishes that we had questions about. The serving portions were more than abundant, and we all ate like royalty. Overall we were extremely satisfied with the service and our meals. A great little spot for some authentic Portuguese cuisine!

It was a Monday and a lot o... read more We booked here because it was easy due to their online booking system, which meant we were sure it was open plus we could eat early. It was a Monday and a lot of other local restaurants close on Mondays. It was in a quaint area of the old town in the narrow streets, and had indoor and some outdoor seating. We sat inside as it wasn’t that warm, and I didn’t feel there was much of an atmosphere, but the waiter was friendly and showed us the fresh fish he could cook for us and accommodated a gluten free person. What we had was delicious, and with a light starter, main fish course for 4, bottle of wine, soft drinks and one dessert, it was a very reasonable €70. Just don’t let your sat nav take you to the actual street- it’s far too narrow and pedestrian!

I personally prefer the potato chips on the side and not dipped into the tomatoe and olive oil. Some of the potato chips from the bacalhau dish were soggy, but that is a personal preference. The octopus was delicious AND tender. The beef was tender but could have some sauce on the side. We really enjoyed the lunch and great service! Prices are a little high for Portuguese standards.
