Great experience! We went for the 5 course tasting menu (even though it is not on the menu, it is still offered). I think the dish selection is great. We loved the usage of traditional ingredients in new and creative ways and how they were paired and how well they worked together. Our only suggestion if you go with the 5 course tasting menu would be to order an extra appetizer before the desert because we think 5 courses might be cutting it a little short.

Amazing dining experience here. One of the best fish I've ever had was here. Baked whole snapper was deboned. It was amazing. They staff was great and super friendly. Gave me a free dessert as well. They were so nice and feiendly. All their appies were amazing. These ceviche tarts were amazing. Empanada were sooooo good. The soup was bomb as well. Everything was amazing. Also had great cocktails. Highly recommend this restaurant. One of best dining experience I've had in Costa Rica!
What a wonderful experience. I don't speak much Spanish so they had a host help me all night who spoke English. I told her that I wanted to experience anything they wanted to make for me that they thought represented the story they wanted to tell. So they just started bringing out mind blowing dishes. At one point the chef saw me melting down over the heart of palm and pejibaye soup and came out to talk to me. She asked if she could make me something else off menu, and it turned out to be an emapanada made from pejibaye flour in a habanero(? tamarind sauce that was the most amazing empanada I've ever eaten. The whole experience was like being led gently by a caring, thoughtful and talented guide through her culture's beloved and unique ingredients. I cannot recommend Sikwa highly enough.
