We visit Vilamoura and its restaurant often, The Mayflower is set in a great location on the marina, with good food and wine menu. We visited times, and the food, wine and service was excellent everytime. It is a more fine dinning restaurant, the price was very resonable for the quality. We will be returning again. What User doesn't like about Mayflower:
I had octopus and my friend had a Portuguese steak. The steak was supposed to be medium rare but it came well done. My octopus was cooked very nicely, smooth and soft but unfortunately it was a little bit tasteless and it lacked character and quantity. The food is super. View outside is lovely. The service is good. It is quite expensive though!
The restaurant is definitely one of the better ones around the marina and if you are there for a holiday then I definitely recommend that you stop here for dinner one night! The food here is pretty good food, i have always got the meatballs and although their pasta may not be the best on the marina it is still pretty good and the meatballs are good. My cocktail was pretty good too and well presented.
