We enjoyed perfect Piri Piri chicken, grilled salmo... read more Our second meal at this small family-owned restaurant in central Loule. The food and service were excellent. We enjoyed perfect Piri Piri chicken, grilled salmon and steak. Beautifully cooked and simply delicious. It is a shame that a table of fellow Brits behind us behaved with such ignorance, sending back a perfectly cooked fish dish because the skin on the top was opened. This delayed their meal and prompted a litany of unwarranted criticism and negativity towards the hard-working restaurant staff who deserved so much better. A couple of tips to this group for future reference...some foreign food contains garlic. If you reject one meal and then insist on all other meals being held back, this will delay the serving of your meal as it impacts on the kitchen who have other customers to serve. Seriously, you should have gone to Mcdonalds, where the food would probably suit your tastes and expectations better. Shame on you.

We were really impressed in the quality of good, typical Portuguese cuisine and the atmosphere was great!! Staff were fantastic and we had a superb evening at Bocage!! Definitely book beforehand because it's really busy.
