The Fish House - Louisville

This small, clean family-owned restaurant is a hidden gem. My wife and I enjoyed the catfish, coleslaw, and fried okra. My wife had a whole catfish while I opted for the catfish fillet. Everything we shared was delicious, with the fish and okra cooked and seasoned to perfection. The prices are reasonable, and the service is quick and friendly. Highly recommend!

The food is fantastic! It’s best to place your order in advance to reduce wait times. The atmosphere is great as well.

The potato salad was enjoyable, and the fried okra was decent, but I found the fish to be quite disappointing. I had the brim fillet, which was cooked to a nice golden brown but unfortunately had a burnt smell. I'm guessing the oil used for frying was old and burnt. The fish lacked any flavor and didn't taste fresh; it was definitely frozen. On a positive note, I will say that the food was made to order and was hot when I received it. Service: Takeout.
